Scott Stepanovich
Scott M. Stepanovich serves as Director of the Westmoreland County Department of Public Safety, overseeing 911 services, emergency management, HazMat, and Westmoreland County Park Police. With more than 15 years of experience in public safety and government administration, he has held leadership positions in purchasing, financial administration, and emergency services.
Throughout his career, Scott has led major public safety initiatives focused on technology modernization, emergency preparedness, grant administration, and regional collaboration. He works closely with local, state, and federal partners to enhance emergency response capabilities and strengthen community resilience.
A Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), Scott serves in the Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department, Greensburg Bloodhound Team and is Treasurer of the National Police Bloodhound Association. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Slippery Rock University and remains committed to advancing public safety throughout Western Pennsylvania.
