David Geiger is Vice President of The Buhl Foundation, where he draws on a career marked by progressive leadership at the intersection of public policy, organizational governance, and community impact. Prior to joining the foundation, David held several staff leadership positions in state and local government, most recently serving as Legislative & Policy Director for the City of Pittsburgh under Mayor Ed Gainey. He believes that strengthening our community’s ability to survive, adapt, and thrive in a rapidly changing world requires thoughtful leadership, strong partnerships, and the strategic allocation of resources.

A proud graduate of University of Pittsburgh, David lives in the City of Pittsburgh with his fiancée and their bernedoodle, Kolby.
