Dave worked in Higher Education in various Student Affairs positions for 31 years. Upon leaving Higher Education, he was the Director of the Greene County Redevelopment Authority, and in 2021, became Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Greene County. Dave and Beth have been married for 41 years. They have 4 grown children, and 3 grandchildren.

Dave has been a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Waynesburg since 1995 where he served as a Deacon on and off since 1996. He has served in various volunteer and Board roles with the Greene County Habitat for Humanity, and currently is a Advocate for Growing Up Greene (formerly CASA), where he is a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children. He enjoys participating in mission service trips, and goes to the Dominican Republic regularly serving those in the sugar cane fields.
